I live in Reno, Nevada with my family and have worked in various roles in the real estate development industry over the last twenty years. My primary focus has been in accounting and finance but I’ve also managed teams and served in other critical roles in the real estate development process. I’ve worked primarily in the resort residential sector in the mountains of California and Colorado, specifically on golf and ski communities. I’ve worked with some of the best brands in development, from Ritz-Carlton and Jack Nicklaus Golf to Crescent Real Estate and East West Partners. I’m very proud of the projects I’ve helped to develop and the teams I’ve been a part of. We’ve made great places to live and play for tens of thousands of people.
In my current role, with Mountainside Builders as Chief Operating Officer, I am looking to grow our business into the primary home market in Reno. Reno is booming, needs housing, and we are capable of quickly turning raw land into developed pads, ready for builders to build homes on. This is a new phase in my career and it’s very exciting to be helping my local community in a meaningful way.
I am a graduate of Colgate University and lived in Atlanta, Chicago, and New York City before falling in love with the Mountain West. I am a life-long learner currently pursuing my Masters of Accountancy at the University of Nevada, Reno. I share my home with my lovely wife, two great kids in the Washoe County School District, one affectionate Labrador, one stand-offish tabby cat, a hungry horse, and two curious goats. I also coach youth sports and enjoy golf, skiing, and other mountain sports. I hope you enjoy the content of my blog, primarily focused on explaining the real estate development industry and simplifying the jargon that makes it seem more complicated than it is.
